Course description

This course is an introduction to a selection of concepts and tools in microeconomic analysis. The course offers an introduction to the analysis of markets, the economic welfare consequences of market failures and government interventions, strategic interactions, and the implications of asymmetric information (with specific application to the informal credit sector in developing countries).

This course introduces basic programming skills using the Python programming language.

During the course we will discover how to write simple programs and explore practical use cases involving data collection, data analysis, and an introduction to text analysis.

No prior programming experience is required.
