With the development of new technologies and new forms of media, existing models of democratic participation are being challenged and reshaped. This project focuses on active citizenship and political participation in the digital age. It aims to contribute to (1) raise AI awareness and literacy among the population and in particular the youth, and (2) foster youth participation by engaging them on shaping the role of artificial intelligence in democracy. Through innovative and active forms of participation, this project hopes to generate debate and put the future of our democracy in the hands of the youth. Simply, and perhaps provocatively, it questions the role and agency of the citizen in a future where AI is as common as electricity. Please find more information here.
